UNITY DECLARATION
OF CPI
(ML) AND CPI (ML) CENTRAL ORGAN-JANASHAKTI.
In
view of growing onslaught of imperialism and the Indian comprador ruling
classes on the common masses of our country and the growing spontaneous
discontent and protest among the people, the CPI (ML) and CPI (ML) Central
Organ-Jana Shakti entered into unity talks for consolidation of Communist Revolutionary forces in our
country. Due to divisions among the CR forces the people’s discontent is not
being channelized in proper revolutionary direction in order that it may strike
at the root of the present exploitative system. Different reformist
organizations, individuals and NGOs are taking advantage of this situation and
are taking the movement in reformist direction with limited objectives. The
right opportunist and left adventurist forces in the country are trying to fish
in the troubled waters of Indian Political situation. Revisionist and
neo-revisionist forces, CPI and CPI (M), are becoming the collaborators of the
Indian ruling classes. Right opportunist forces in the left movement are trying
to utilize the situation for electoral benefits and confined the movement
within the ambit of parliamentary policies. Left adventurist forces, on the
other hand, are engaging in isolated armed actions. Both kinds of deviations
are ultimately serving the present semi-feudal and semi-colonial system which
exploits the workers, peasants and other sections of common masses. In the
situation, it is the need of the hour that the CR. Forces believing and
practicing the Revolutionary mass line come together and unite to channelize
the peoples’ discontent and anger into a powerful revolutionary movement
striking at the very root of present social system serving the interests of imperialism,
feudalism and comprador bureaucratic capitalism. Our two Organizations have
engaged in serious unity talks for more than two years and have arrived at a decision
to unite into a single Organization under the banner of Marxism-Leninism Mao
Tse Tung Thought.
